Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Crewlo (“the Service”) provided by Crewlo, Inc. (“Crewlo”, “we”, “us”). Read them; they’re short.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you’re using Crewlo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The service

Crewlo connects to your cloud account using a read-only IAM role you provision. It scans your infrastructure on a schedule, builds a continuously-updated map, surfaces cost and security findings, and (if you opt into Tier 3) generates Terraform plans for remediation that require your explicit approval before they run. We don’t modify your account without that approval.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate account information (email, name, company).
  • Comply with the AWS Customer Agreement (and any other cloud provider’s terms) when granting Crewlo access to your cloud account. You confirm you have authority to grant that access.
  • Don’t reverse-engineer the Service, scrape it, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or use it to attack any other system.
  • Review every Tier-3 change Crewlo proposes before approving it. You are the human in the loop; the platform is a tool, not a substitute for your judgment.

4. Our responsibilities

  • Operate the Service in good faith and with commercial care.
  • Give you at least 30 days’ notice before any material change to these terms or to subprocessors that handle your data.
  • Maintain an append-only audit log of every cloud API call we make on your behalf, available to you on demand.
  • Respect your revocation of the IAM role. If you detach the role we use to access your cloud account, the Service will stop accessing it the same second.
  • Notify you within 72 hours of confirming a security incident that affects your data.

5. Pricing and billing

Crewlo is in private beta. Pricing is shared during onboarding for early-access customers and confirmed in your order form. Crewlo is sold as a monthly or annual subscription, and we’ll give you 30 days’ notice before any price change takes effect for your existing subscription.

Refunds are available within 30 days of your initial purchase if the Service materially fails to do what we say it does. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is capped at the fees you paid to Crewlo in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, or data.

Crewlo is a tool. It surfaces recommendations and, with your explicit approval, applies changes you’ve reviewed. You are responsible for reviewing and approving every change before it is applied to your account. We are not liable for the consequences of a change you approved.

7. Termination

Either party can terminate the agreement for any reason on 30 days’ written notice. You can also terminate immediately by revoking the IAM role you granted Crewlo — the Service stops accessing your account the same second the role is detached.

On termination we delete your account data on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy. Audit logs are retained for the period stated there.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we’ll email all active customers at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date is acceptance of the new terms. Editorial fixes we’ll push live.
